| I put a new "Resume" page together, so you can now choose from either a .doc formatted or .pdf formatted version of my resume. I also changed the base font for this page. I'll be changing the font for the rest of the page eventually, as well... although, Gayle's offered to completely redo my site, so who can say? Gads, I need a new job. |

| So, I'm up at about 2700 resumes, only one interview, but I have had a couple of callbacks (that didn't turn into interviews, but they're callbacks, nonetheless). It's gotta get better eventually, right? Please? :sigh: Oh, well... Updates! Three new pieces in the art gallery... Una Westerland (someone else's character, done with her permission), Artemis (a Supergirl clone), and the first photomanipulation I've done in a long time . Also, I've gone and joined the Digital Concept Gallery over at Comics2Film. Click on the link and go have fun. And, last but not least, I have a new gallery at Elfwood. Yep, I've got a Fan Quarter gallery. Aren't I special? |

| Took me bloody long enough, but Mr. Murphy's law has been repealed, at least as far as my emotions go. I got a phone interview at Google... scheduled for next Wednesday at 7:30pm. Wish me luck! Even if I don't get the job, which I am sure that I will, if I want it hard enough, the mere fact that I have gotten the interview has increased my mood a thousand fold. There is no longer an omnipresent malaise hanging over th e house... and my Friends have noticed it. Last nights game was met with several "Damn, you look a hundred percent better!" and similar comments. Yay! New picture in the art gallery... the latest of the Maggie/Caitlin party pics. Also, if you care to hear what my voice sounds like, I have finally managed to record two .wav's of my illustrious (yeah, right) voice. I would have recorded them as .aiff or .aifc, which if you don't know is the actual, standard, industry-wide-usage format for audio recording... it's the same stuff they use on CD's... but Windows doesn't like that for some reason, and I want all of my Friends to be able to listen. | Mr. Murphy, you can take your law and shove it. Get it the hell out of my face, because frankly, I don't want it there. For those of you who haven't heard, I was laid off today. After my boss assured me that I wouldn't be. Apparently, he didn't know, and was told a few hours after he gave me that assurance, and had to go the rest of the day yesterday without telling me. Damn, that has got to suck. I don't blame my boss. Hell, he had no idea. In fact, I sympathize with him. He's a great boss, a wonderful guy to work with, and I will miss his morning updates, daily rants, and upbeat nature. I really, really, hope this doesn't get him down. He's got too much to worry about without this adding on. Although, I do wish the people who'd changed the decision on him had the guts to have faced me and told me themselves. Making him do it shows a serious lack of thought, class, and concern for the well being of the people in their departments. Get a spine, guys. Anyway! My resume is HERE. | My stepfather died last night. He died at 10:30pm, in the hospital. My mother was there, which is as it should have been. I'm breaking down, inside. In waves, sometimes small, sometimes so large I can't see anything else, the emotions come. Is it supposed to hurt like this? They tell me it will get better. They're right. But it still hurts. There's a new picture in the art gallery. Enjoy. Give me some feedback, eh? |

| I have been suffering from sleep deprivation off and on lately. It comes from having a LOT of things to do, and a really SCREWED UP work schedule. I get up at 4:45am, and get to work by 6:00. I then work eight and a half hours (eigh t plus a half hour lunch, really), and come home at 2:30pm. Joy. What this means is that my brain is not quite firing properly by the end of the day. Yesterday, I was woken up during my nap... right at that critical REM Sleep juncture. It screwed with my whole sleep cycle for the day, and as a result, I was very, very odd all night. Part of that oddness was "hearing" Alice and Sara in one ear, and Maggie and Caitlin in the other. They urged me to draw something. So, I caved in to Maggie and Caitlin, and let their "Boy Hunting" pay off. What's here on the page, in the art gallery, is the CENSORED version of the picture I drew. The UNCENSORED drawing is hidden somewhere on the site. The Easter Egg is that you get to find it! Won't that be delightful? Hmm? As always, all of the pictures on this site BELONG TO ME, or to their CREATORS. DO NOT think that just because they're here, you can steal them and distribute them without my permission. I shouldn't have to say that, re ally... but some recent events prove that it is unfortunately necessary. All you wonderful folks who play nice, I love you, and you're wonderful. Help me beat up the folks who don't? |

| A third picture in the Caitlin/Maggie series. I hereby diasvow any responsibility of what these two are doing. The picture you see was not the picture I started out to do... it just came out onto the paper after I essentially gave up o n trying to get it to come together. After over a week of not being able to get it to work, I basically gave up, and BAM! this popped out. I suspect the characters are taking over the series. Chris thinks so, too. Gods help us. I'll probably be putting up a bunch of the pics that used to be on Elfwood (which is currently out of service... see the information up at http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se for more information on that) here in a few days... which, yes, in cludes the original Maggie pictures. Yay for me! |

New Pictures in the Art Gallery!

| Two new pictures in my Art Section (under the "Science Fiction" header). Chris Rubenstahl (you can find him in Elfwood, and I'll have a link up to his pages in my Link Section soon) did a bunch of pics of my "Maggie" ; Character for me, and so I thought I'd return the favor. Both of these pics pretty much sprang fully formed into my head, and so, I'm rather proud of them. Some people have said this is some of the best work I've done... and they may be right. I certainly hope so. (Grin!) Some other people also think that this is good ink work, but the funny thing is, there's no ink anywhere on the pictures! Wierd, huh? | ||||

| Yep. Whole damn site's been updated. Isn't that spiffy? New buttons on the front page, no frames, none of that. I'm trimming the site down immensely, because the fancy stuff's too much to maintain on a regular basis. Please send any complaints on layout or anything like that to jim@illusion.mecha.com.
