        6 GU-11 pods as my  dogfighting variant.  If you get a tail on
        someone, they are toast.  These are derived from the sourcebook,
        Strikeforce of the Palladium Robotech RPG.  They are never seen in the

NOTES: This mecha is a Mekton Z adaption of the Fei-Yen from the video game 
"Virtual On" (Copyright Sega (1996). Used without permission, intended for 
non-profit use only.)

The Fei-Yen is one of the very few female-looking robots I have seen
(ARIEL and Milene's Valkyrie from Macross 7 are the only others I can
think of).  It is principally designed for speed rather than 
firepower, although its Heart Beam and Energy Sword can do a LOT of 
damage to an enemy.

BTW, Virtual On is a *GREAT* video game, and the mecha there are 
proper anime-style mecha, not the lumbering things out of Battletech!
(although this one, when used well, can have a tendency to make the 
others look like that).  I fully reccommend it!

DN Industries Profile:

Designed as a multi-purpose machine, this VR is well-suited to basic VR 
operational training, and will no doubt prove itself to be highly appropriate
for use in initial suitability evaluations of potential VR operators. On the
other hand, this well-balanced machine has extremely high potential, though
it will require a like level of VR-suitability (i.e. a Virtual-On Positive)
operator to bring the potential to the surface. These evaluatory simulations
will see it used not only as an introductory model, but in the screening for
pilot candidates with the highest all-around future potential. 

Temjin's current weapons fit was not the originally intended fit.
Originally, Temjin was to mount its Beam Gun as a secondary offensive weapon,
and carry a Rail Gun as its primary weapon instead of its beam sword.  The
Rail Gun would have fired 55mm Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discharging-
Sabot Depleted-Uranium (APFSDSDU) rounds capable of punching through an old
M1A2 Abrahms main battle tank like a warm knife through butter.  However, the
first Virtuaroid test pilot who got to operate Temjin complained of a lack of
close combat power, so the Rail Gun was taken off and replaced with the Beam
Sword.

Pilot Profile:

The Temjin Virtuaroid is a well-balanced machine.  Given that battle can be
brutal sometimes, this is not necessarily a compliment, however the Temjin 
has high suitability for all combat situations except for air superiority.
Proof of its power and adaptability lies in its variant designs: the
close-combat powerhouse Apharmd and the flight-capable combat machine Viper
II.

The Temjin carries three weapons: twenty powerful, thrown Bombs, a repeating
Beam Rifle and a Beam Sword.  The Grenades' detonation acts as a smokescreen,
blinding one's opponent and harmlessly diffusing his or her energy blasts,
including Fei-Yen's awesome Heart Blast!  Do NOT underestimate the defensive
power of a bomb!  Temjin's beam sword can act as a distance weapon, but its
beam degrades rapidly with distance.  When used in this manner, the Beam Sword
has three shots.

Game Profile:

Temjin is the easiest of the Virtuaroids to learn on.  He's also a slightly
tricky beast to handle.  Under no circumstances should you try to do a full
jump with him - instead do jump-cancels, because he floats when he jumps,
making him a very easy target.  When you move with Temjin, dash in the forward
direction ONLY.  Otherwise, run!  Temjin's close-combat power means that it's
better to stick close to an opponent with him, rather than to attempt to duke
it out at long range (also note that sniping, er fighting at long range is
considered to be in poor taste).  The Bomb (referred to as the Grenade in
this write-up) is so powerful that some circles consider its use bordering on
unethical (meaning, use it often!).  The degrade-with-distance of the Beam
Sword's power is one kill per hex of range.
