Armor Piercing/Armor Crushing


CONCEPT:
Some attacks are designed to use a great deal of kinetic energy and/or designed warheads to pierce armor with only a minimum loss of energy. These are Armor-Piercing weapons, common among Meele Weapons and Projectile weapons.

Another type of anti-armor attack uses HESH-type shaped charge warheads, sprayed/delivered acids, or massive mace/battle-ax type weapons. These are what are referred to as Armor-Crushing attacks, designed to remove armor on a target as quickly as ossible.

PROPOSAL:
Armor Piercing weapons remain at their regular cost, effect, and rules. The only variation is this-any attack that inflicts twice the damage of the unmodified armor only loses one kill(modified for refined armor damage coefficents), the remaining damage penetrates without any loss.

Armor Crushing weapons are bought as x6 weapon. Meele weapons, projectile weapon ammo, and missiles can normally be equiped with this ability; other weapons can use the ability with the Special Weapons Effect SMT. A weapon with Armor Crushing inflicts damage normally, but for every two points of damage taken on the armor, the armor loses one SP. This is modified by the Refined armor types(Alpha takes 4 kills of damage to lose one SP, Beta takes 8 kills of damage to lose one SP, Gamma takes 16 kills of damage to lose one SP), all other rules for handling damage, including servo kills, remain identical.
